Roy H. Cicola passed away on May 11, 2014, after a 15 month battle with acute myeloid leukemia. An immensely kind, selfless man, he touched the lives of everyone he met, inspiring love, teaching honor through understanding and giving hope through calm determination.
A Super Hero in his life, he provided generously for all lucky enough to be in his orbit: his wife Josephine, son Roy J., sister-in-law Dorothy Mattone, nephews Christopher Presta, Stephen Presta and Edward Quinn as well as countless other family members and friends.
He attacked life with vigor, savoring the days, celebrating the nights, all while embodying sweetness and love. His kindness, esteem and authenticity will long outlast the awful grief of his passing. The echoes of his spirit will resonate through time and be remembered and celebrated long after all those he touched directly are gone. Rest in peace.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Saturday, May 17, 2014 at 11 am at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church, 1 Riverstone Circle, New Hope, PA 18938.
Relatives and friends may call on Thursday and Friday evening from 7 to 9 pm at the Van Horn-McDonough Funeral Home, 21 York Street, Lambertville, NJ 08530.
