Obituary for Carl E Christenson

Carl E. Christenson, 89, of Lambertville, NJ, died on Friday, October 17, 2014, at the Hunterdon Care Center, Flemington, NJ.
Born in Lambertville, Carl was a lifelong resident of the city. He served with the USA Army during World War 2 and was stationed in Japan at the end on the war. Carl was known to all in Lambertville. He did factory work and ran errands for neighbors who needed assistance. He was a regular at the Main Street Barber Shop where he assisted barbers Charlie Yannarella and, late Joe Patrucci, in maintaining the shop.
Carl was the son of the late Carl and Anna Olson Christenson and the brother of the late Lillian Stevens. He is survived by his sister Mildred Wolfe of Ringoes; his niece Bonnie Alley of Flemington and his nephew Lanny Wolfe of Edison, NJ.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 23, at 11 am at the Van Horn-McDonough Funeral Home, 21 York Street, Lambertville, NJ 08530. Interment will follow at Rosemont Cemetery, Rosemont, NJ.
Calling hours at the funeral home on Thursday morning from 10 am until the start of services.
