Obituary for Timothy A "Tim" Fleming

Timothy A "Tim"  Fleming
Timothy A. Fleming, 57, of Lambertville, NJ, died on Thursday, November 27, 2014.
Born in Doylestown, PA, Tim was a lifelong resident of Lambertville, NJ. He was a graduate of South Hunterdon Regional High School and earned his bachelor’s degree from St. Joseph’s College in Rensselaer, Indiana. Tim was employed by the Hunterdon County Department of Corrections and retired as a lieutenant in 2009 after 25 years of service. A founding member of the Knights of Columbus St. John the Evangelist Council in Lambertville, Tim was a Fourth Degree Knight and a Past Grand Knight. He was active in all the Council’s activities and served as the chairman of the Council’s Respect Life Committee. With the Bishop Griffin Assembly of the Knights, Tim was a member of the Color Guard, serving as an escort and ceremonial guard at many of the church’s most important functions. He was a sports fan and rooted for all the major Philadelphia area teams.
Tim was a man of quiet integrity and gentle humor. He loved his family and was particularly devoted to his parents. Both his family and friends knew that Tim was a guy they could always rely on.
Tim was the son of the late Richard L. Fleming, Sr. He is survived by his beloved mother Joan Koons Fleming of Lambertville; his brothers and their wives Michael P. and Laura Fleming of Phoenix, AZ and Richard L. Jr. and Kristy Fleming of West Amwell; his nephew and his wife Ryan and Stephanie Fleming; his niece Shannon Fleming and his great-niece Carlee Fleming, all of Phoenix.
The funeral mass will be offered on Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at 10 am at St. Martin of Tours Church, 1 Riverstone Circle, New Hope, PA 18938. Interment will follow at St. Martin of Tours Cemetery.
Calling hours will be held on Monday, December 1, from 2 to 4 pm in the afternoon and from 7 to 9 pm in the evening at the Van Horn-McDonough Funeral Home, 21 York Street, Lambertville, NJ 08530.
Donations in Tim’s memory may be made to St. John the Evangelist Church, 13 N. Main Street, Lambertville, NJ 08530 or to the Lambertville-New Hope Rescue Squad, PO Box 237, Lambertville, NJ 08530.
