Joan L. Schulz, 74, of Lambertville, NJ, died in her home on Friday, September 11, 2015.
Born in New Market, NJ, Joan lived in Martinsville and Bridgewater before moving to Lambertville 36 years ago. At that time Joan and her husband Frank purchased land and, with the help of their children, built their dream home and barn. There Joan and Frank raised their family. Joan was known for her amazing way with animals. She was an avid horse lover, raised collies, and cared for their many farm animals.
More than anything else, Joan was devoted to her family. She was the daughter of the late George and Rose Newman. She was one of their six children: Patricia Zingler, Linda Haines, Ron Newman, George Newman and Michael Newman. Joan also built a family of her own. She is survived by her beloved husband Franklin E. Schulz; her loving children David and Steven Schulz, Shelley Vasey and her husband Bruce Vasey. Joan also has a granddaughter, Christie Schulz who is married to Jeffrey Sisolak , three grandsons Kyle, Daniel and Chad Vasey and many nieces and nephews.
Everyone who knew Joan will remember here by her smile.
