The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Brooks Kaufman can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Condolence From: Joseph S. Silveman MD
Condolence: Brooks was a hero to me, prior to my reading his obituary, largely because of his scoring the winning touchdown against Johnstown (precipitating a riot!). (I think that Barry gave me a different account but I love THIS one.) My Cornell Phi Ep fraternity brother Bob Yeager, also an architect, had professional knowledge of Brooks's body of work; he filled me in a bit. But only now can I appreciate the diversity and richness of Brooks's life. He should have written--or commissioned--his personal history! I had enough contact with Brooks to appreciate what a lovely man he was. His memory will certainly be a blessing to all who knew, or knew of, him.
