The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Ty Hodanish can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Condolence: Dear Dan and Nancy,

I am heartbrocken to hear of Ty's passing. Ty brought his contagious love of painting and color into my life and I will always carry this in my heart as a trememdous gift. He was warm, funny and had a way of making people feel at ease in his studio, like he had known you his whole life. I will miss him dearly. We are sending you light and love in this sad time. Josée and Jerome

Condolence From: Michael Hodanish
Condolence: I knew Ty as Marty. He is my cousin, the last time I saw him was 1973, when he was driving a Triumph spitfire. He brought water skies to my father, who had a small boat on Long Beach Island. I was a teenager. Our boat could not tow Marty on the skies, it was not powerful enough. Marty fell over again again on the waves.

These are the memories I have of him. I am sad I did not catch with him over the years.

Condolence: Dan and Nancy, I'm so sorry to hear of Ty's passing. I worked with him many years ago at the SPB and always looked forward to running into him. He showed up at the office one day with a black&white kitten, my family and I had her (Molly) for over 20 years. He was a great guy. My sincere sympathy.
