Obituary for Christopher John "Tank" Lane

Christopher John "Tank" Lane
Christopher John Lane, 37, of West Amwell, NJ, passed away on Thursday, March 19, 2015, at his home.

Born in Trenton, Chris was a lifelong area resident. He was known to many of his friends as “Tank”. A graduate of South Hunterdon Regional High School, class of 1996, Chris was most recently employed by Flemington Supply as a driver and sales representative. He was a member of the American Legion Toscani Post in Lambertville. A man of many interests, Chris had a sharp sense of humor and loved to make people laugh. He dreamed of one day owning and driving a dirt modified stock car. Chris was especially fond of music and his tattoos.

Chris is survived by his parents John J. and Debbie Lane of West Amwell; his brother and sister-in-law Justin John and Jessica Case Lane and their daughters Kendall, Reese, Macy and Addison all of Lambertville; his godmother Lorraine Faraglia; his close friends Stacy “Little Sis” Ice, Mikey and Nicki Rogers, Renee Inverso, Robin Nilon and Greg Oldani; Chris is also survived by his aunts Joan Schneider, Dori Lane, Peggy ( husband Ron) Bodnar and Marion “Junior” McLaughlin, Karen (husband Angelo) Demitry, Kimberly (husband Alex) Chambers, Colleen Neumen and Kelly Hartz; and his uncles Shawn and Michael Hartz. Chris is also survived by many beloved cousins and friends. He was the grandson of the late Joseph Emanuel Lane, Marion Lane, John M. Hartz and Helen Frances Hartz and the step grandson of the late Ruth Lane.

Christopher, our wayward son, please know how much you are loved and missed. May your new journey ahead lead you to happiness and many new adventures. Behave yourself and keep us all laughing. You’ve done us proud. Until we meet again love always and forever, Dad, Mom Justin “Goofsten” and Jess.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday evening, March 26, at 8 pm at the Van Horn-McDonough Funeral Home, 21 York Street, Lambertville, New Jersey 08530 (VHMFH.com). Calling hours at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 6 pm until the start of services.

In lieu of flowers donations in Chris’s memory may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, 4899 Belfort Road, Suite 300, Jacksonville, FL 32256 (woundedwarriorproject.org).
