Margaret E. Walsh, 96, of New Hope, Pennsylvania, died on Monday, May 29, 2017 at Doylestown Hospital, Doylestown, PA.
Born in Toronto, Canada, Margaret came to the United States as a young woman when her family relocated to Irvington, NJ. She and her husband, Ed, moved to New Hope in 1985 after living in Dunedin, Florida, Madison, NJ and Morristown, NJ. Margaret was an office manager and worked for the Masonic Home in Florida and Ceco Steel in New Jersey. She enjoyed gardening and reading and was an animal lover. She treasured her family and took great pride in her British heritage.
Margaret was the wife of the late Edward Walsh, the daughter of the late George and Emily Gowans and the sister of the late Frances Cheek. She is survived by daughter Anna Kline and her son-in-law Norman Reim of Kingwood Township, NJ; her granddaughter Emily Kline and her husband Roger Plawker and their children Benjamin, Leah and Eli Plawker all of Montclair, NJ; her niece Gael Cheek and her husband Nathan Young of Potomac, MD and their children Julia of Salt Lake City, Utah and Matilda Young of Washington, DC.
A life celebration service will be held on Sunday, June 4, 2017 at 11 am at the Van Horn-McDonough Funeral Home, 21 York Street, Lambertville, New Jersey 08530 (vhmfh.com).
