Verna Slack Dillon, 87, of Quakertown, PA, formerly of New Hope, died on Friday, September 8, 2017 at the Pine Run Care Center in Doylestown, PA.

Born in New Hope, Verna lived there until moving to Quakertown 3 years ago. She worked as the office manager for oral surgeons, Dr. C. Joseph DeSalvo and Dr. Michael DeSalvo in their Doylestown office. She retired in 2006 after 33 years of service. Verna enjoyed reading and crossword puzzles. She was an animal lover and New Hampshire was a favorite vacation destination. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

Verna was the wife of the late Willard R. Dillon, the daughter of the late Walter and Emma Kerr Slack and the sister of the late W. Clifford Slack, Jr., Dothard Slack and Gerald Slack. She is survived by her son Roger Dillon and his wife Kathi Ann of New Hope; her daughter Janice Dillon and her companion Douglas Stateler of Richlandtown, PA; her grandchildren Jeffrey Neamand and his wife Marianne and their daughter Madeline of Doylestown; Jennifer Neamand of Richlandtown and Michael Dillon of New Hope; her sister-in-law Marie Slack of Chalfont, PA and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 13, at 12 noon at the Van Horn-McDonough Funeral Home, 21 York Street, Lambertville, NJ 08530 (vhmfh.com). Interment will follow at Rosemont Cemetery, Rosemont, NJ.

Calling hours will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday morning from 10 am until the start of services.
