Condolences

Condolence From: Joseph S. Silveman MD
Condolence: Brooks was a hero to me, prior to my reading his obituary, largely because of his scoring the winning touchdown against Johnstown (precipitating a riot!). (I think that Barry gave me a different account but I love THIS one.) My Cornell Phi Ep fraternity brother Bob Yeager, also an architect, had professional knowledge of Brooks's body of work; he filled me in a bit. But only now can I appreciate the diversity and richness of Brooks's life. He should have written--or commissioned--his personal history! I had enough contact with Brooks to appreciate what a lovely man he was. His memory will certainly be a blessing to all who knew, or knew of, him.
