Grace A. Paul, 89, of New Hope, PA, died on Saturday, January 20, 2018, at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Staten Island, New York, Grace came to New Hope in 1988 to work side-by-side with her son, Peter Paul, in his interior businesses, Peter Paul Interiors and JH Madden Interiors. As a young woman, Grace worked as a secretary for Con Edison in New York City. After coming to New Hope, Grace’s love for children led her to work at the Holicong Middle School cafeteria and at the nursey at Body Tech. She also spent time working for Burpee Seeds. She retired 8 years ago. Grace loved horseback riding, shopping and gardening. With her late mother, Grace, she was a regular at Bingo. Grace was a woman of great style and taste. Whatever she did, she did well. She was a member of St. Martin of Tours Church in New Hope.

Grace was a devoted mother and grandmother. She was affectionately known as “Gi” to her family members and close friends. She was the mother of the late Peter Paul, the daughter of the Joseph and Grace Clark Madden and the mother-in-law of the late Margaret Paul. Grace is survived by her sons Michael J. and his wife Maria of New York City, Mark and his wife Norma of Winchester, California, and Thomas of Erwinna, PA; her grandchildren Marisol Rivera, Jennifer Paul-Koch and her husband Robert, Stacy Paul and Nashla Paul; her great-grandchildren Ashley, Aleah and Christian Gallo, Ariana Manitta, Kayla Paul-Koch, Jack Pellegrino Paul, Walter Paul-Koch, Julius, Avarie and Addison Paul.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at 11 am at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church, 1 Riverstone Circle, New Hope, PA, 18938.

Calling hours at the church on Wednesday morning from 9:30 am until the start of mass.

Donations in Grace’s memory may be made to the Lambertville-New Hope Rescue Squad, PO Box 237, Lambertville, NJ 08530.
