Obituary for Robin Lea Horsnall (Travers)

Robin Lea Horsnall, 78, of Lambertville, NJ, died on Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at Capital Health’s Hopewell Campus.

Born in Trenton, NJ, Robin was raised in Ewing Township. She had been a Lambertville-West Amwell resident since 1965. As a school teacher specializing in early elementary education, Robin worked as a full time teacher and, more recently, as a substitute. She taught in Frenchtown, Kingwood Township, Hampton, Lambertville, Hopewell, Ewing and South Hunterdon Regional High School. Robin most recently taught at Francis Lore Elementary School in Ewing. Robin was a graduate of Tusculum College in Tusculum, Tennessee. Artistically gifted, she loved crafting and needle work. Robin knit, crocheted and created finely detailed needlepoint. She enjoyed ceramic and porcelain painting.

Robin was a dedicated mother and grandmother. She treasured her time with her sons and their families. Her grandchildren loved baking with her and knew their grandmother played a wicked game of Mine Craft.

Robin was the wife of the late Arthur C. “Otts” Horsnall, the daughter of the late Charles and Edith Edzenga Travers and the sister of the late Janet Travers. She is survived by her sons and their wives Scott and Melissa Horsnall of Lambertville and Eric and Cindy Horsnall of Huntington Valley, PA; her grandchildren Sean, Robbie, Juneabea, Samantha and Bradley; her brother-in-law David Horsnall of Cream Ridge and an extended family of relatives, friends and students.

There will be a service of remembrance on Sunday, April 22, at 7 pm at the Van Horn-McDonough Funeral Home, 21 York Street, Lambertville, NJ 08530 (vhmfh.com).

There will be calling hours at the funeral home on Sunday, April 22, from 4 pm until the start of services.
