Joan E. Reczenske
Joan E. Reczenske of Newtown, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully in her sleep on May 29, 2018. She was 86 years old.

Born on February 12, 1932, in Trenton, NJ, Joan attended Junior 4 High School. She married her beloved husband, Norbert, in September 1952 and was employed at Bayer Aspirin in Trenton. In 1960 Joan and Norbert moved to Hopewell Township where they raised their two sons. In 1982 she returned to work at Pitman-Moore in Titusville, NJ, retiring in 1992. Joan enjoyed her retirement years with her husband.

With deep care and love Joan always put others before herself. She was devoted to her family, a dedicated wife and a proud mother. She was a wonderful cook. She enjoyed flowers, fashion, shopping and looking her best. Joan had a great sense of humor. She had the ability to make anyone laugh and that will live on with all those who loved her forever.

Joan was predeceased by her husband of 59 years, Norbert, Sr.; her parents Ralph and Helen Schaefer Albano and many of her friends. She is survived by her two sons Daniel of Newtown, PA and Norbert “Bert”, Jr. of New Hope; her two sisters and her brother-in-law Marie Robison and Dolores and John McQuade, all of North Carolina and her many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to gather for the mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at 10:30 am at St. John the Evangelist Church, 44 Bridge Street, Lambertville, NJ 08530. Interment will follow at the Carversville Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Joan’s memory may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105 (stjude.org) or to the New Hope Eagle Volunteer Fire Company, 46 N. Sugan Road, New Hope, PA 18938 (nhefco.org).
