He was a construction worker with Local 472 Heavy and General Construction Laborers from 1969 until his retirement in 2000. He worked hard to provide for his family. A devoted husband to his beloved wife, Ruby, together, they were dedicated to their family.

Richard was a skilled hunter and looked forward to November and the start of hunting season. He was an active gun club member of New Jersey gun clubs and the NRA. Richard loved good food and was an excellent game chef. He enjoyed both fresh and salt water fishing.

Richard was a man of faith. An active member of the Church of the Living God Deliverance Ministry in Trenton, Richard was a Deacon. He served as a greeter on Sunday and took up the offering. He was always quick to help those in need. Whatever the situation, Richard’s great sense of humor was present.
