Obituary for Gloria Marie Waldron

Gloria M. Waldron, of West Trenton, NJ, died on Saturday, November 24, 2018, after a long courageous battle with Lewy Body Dementia with Parkinsons. She was 61 years old.

Born in Trenton, New Jersey, Gloria was a lifelong Trenton area resident. Her love of travel led Gloria to a career in the travel industry. She worked for over 30 years in management and global corporate services with American Express in Lawrenceville. Earlier she was associated with Revere Travel in Trenton and Lawrenceville. Gloria graduated Magna Cum Laude from Rosemont College in Rosemont, PA with a B.A. in Art History and History. She was a volunteer with the Junior League of the Central Delaware Valley, Trenton. She was a 30 year volunteer for the Morris Hall Community Service Board (formerly the St. Lawrence Women’s Service Board) continuing a tradition of community and faith service established by her mother.

Gloria was a woman of deep faith. She was gracious to all and had a gentle wit. She appreciated fine art and had great style. Most importantly Gloria was a devoted daughter, sister, aunt and friend.

Gloria was the daughter of the late James A. and Laura Daly Waldron and the sister of the late James A. Waldron, Jr. She is survived by her sister and brother-in-law Laura W. and Karl Darby; her brother Kevin W. Waldron; her nieces and nephews Laura (Chuck) Noonan, Robert (Jill) Darby, Christiane (Dan) Lynch, Cynthia (Michael) Pierce, Diana (Ron) Cotter, James (Kelli) Waldron and Elizabeth Waldron; her great-nieces and great-nephews Amelia, Rosalie, Laura, Buddy and Desmond and her sister-in-law Patricia Wieliczko.

The Mass of the Resurrection will be offered on Friday, November 30, 2018 at 11 am at St. John the Evangelist Church, 44 Bridge Street, Lambertville, NJ 08530.

There will be calling hours at the Van Horn-McDonough Funeral Home, 21 York Street, Lambertville, NJ 08530 (vhmfh.com) on Thursday evening from 6 to 8 pm and on Friday morning from 9:30 am until departure for church.
