Obituary for June Eveland Nalence (Lear)

June E. Nalence, 85, of Lambertville, NJ, died on Tuesday, November 27, 2018, at the Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, NJ.

Born in New Hope, PA, June, a lifelong area resident, grew up in a large loving family. She was employed at Lambertville Ceramics for over 20 years as a sponger and, later, as a foreman. She also worked for Lipton Tea in Raritan Township. However, June’s favorite work was babysitting. The children she cared for recall June with great affection and often would stop to visit her. June was an active member of Old Rocks Church in West Amwell. She loved tending to her garden and took pride in her manicured lawn. However, June was most devoted to her family, children and grandchildren.

June was the wife of the late John P. Nalence. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Virginia and Mike Hemeleski of Hackettstown; her son and daughter-in-law Steven and Patricia Nalence of Lambertville; her grandchildren and their families Robert Clark, his wife Bridget and their children Mackenzie and Owen of Austin TX; Rebecca Silver and her husband Dave of Boston, MA; Rachel Briggs, her husband Steven and their children Jarret and Nathaniel of Swanee, Georgia; Regina Skrebel, her husband Matthew and their sons Michael and Patrick of Lambertville; Crystal Rose and her daughter Gabriella June of New Hope; Rachel Grumbine, her husband Brian and their children Sara and Eric of Phillipsburg; and Michael Hemeleski of Alpha, NJ.

Funeral services will be held on Monday evening, December 3, at 6:00 pm at the Van Horn-McDonough Funeral Home, 21 York Street, Lambertville, NJ 08530 (vhmfh.com).
