Obituary for Karen Renfrew Conner (Renfrew)

Karen Renfrew Conner, 73, of Lambertville, NJ, died on Friday, January 4, 2019, at Virtua Memorial Hospital in Mt. Holly, NJ.

Born and raised in Easton, Pennsylvania, Karen was a long time resident of Lambertville. Earlier she lived in Quakertown, NJ . She spent several years in Calabash, NC before returning to Lambertville 8 years ago. Karen worked as a home health aide. She also worked as a presser and a counter person at Stanley Cleaners in Lambertville. She taught Sunday school at the Presbyterian Church of Flemington, enjoyed travel and was a faithful QVC shopper. Karen was a member of the West Amwell Wonders and a regular at the Centenary United Methodist Church’s community kitchen. Karen had a gentle sense of humor and was a good friend to many. She was a devoted mother and a doting grandmother.

She was the daughter of the late Dr. Edgar Earl Renfrew, PhD and Geneva Thorsen Renfrew and the niece of the late Virginia Thorsen. She is survived by her children Dawn Conner- Eick of Lambertville, Heather Haney and her husband William of Monroeton, PA, Bryan Conner and his wife Teresa of Burlington, NJ and Scott Conner of Lambertville; her grandchildren Teri Lynn Meeks and her husband Kenny, Robert Eick, Jake Haney, Bryan Conner, Jr., Janice Conner, Logan Conner and Kylee Conner ; her great-grandson Kenny Meeks, Jr., her sister Paula Ekstrand of Northfield, Minnesota, her niece, two nephews and several cousins.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 11, at 11 am at the Van Horn-McDonough Funeral Home, 21 York Street, Lambertville, NJ 08530 (vhmfh.com).

Calling hours at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 6 to 9 pm and on Friday morning from 10 am until the start of services.
