Pamela A. Holland, 71, of Lambertville, NJ, entered peacefully into the presence of her Lord on Wednesday, January 9, 2019.

Born in Corona, Queens, NY, Pam grew up in Skillman, NJ and had been a resident of Lambertville for 39 years. She retired as a supervisor with the Mercer County Board of Social Services in 2003 after 34 years of service. Pam was a graduate of Trenton State College. An active member of St. John the Evangelist Church in Lambertville, Pam has an additional spiritual home at First Presbyterian Church of Lambertville. Pam loved animals. She saw God’s presence in all his creatures and made a home for a wide assortment of animals, including horses, goats, cats, peafowl, chickens, ducks, birds, rabbits, fish and a parrot named Ollie. Her gentle and kind heart made her the ideal candidate for local rescue groups to call on, when an orphaned creature needed special care, medical treatment or shelter. She knew that fencing was key to protecting her animals and she became expert at driving a fence post. Pam’s special charity was the Fund for Animals. As a young girl she donated the first $5 she ever earned to that organization. She had been a vegetarian since childhood. She loved sewing, baking and cooking and was always the first to volunteer at a church or community event. She had a smile for all.

She was the daughter of the late Thomas J. and Anita Noberini Mullane. Pam is survived by her beloved husband of 41 years Robert W. Holland, her brother and his wife Thomas A. and Jean Lovett Mullane of Hillsborough, NJ; her nephew Thomas J. Mullane, his wife Amanda and their son Thomas Orion of Bloomfield, NJ; her niece Amy Wimmer, her husband Eric and their children Ada, Evelyn and Dylan of Rolesville, NC and her many cousins, including: Carol Lowe of Princeton, NJ, Frederick Massano of Frenchtown, NJ and Dolores Nieves of Old Bridge, NJ.

The memorial mass will be offered on Friday, January 18, at 11 am at St. John the Evangelist Church, 44 Bridge St., Lambertville, NJ 08530.

Calling hours on Friday morning from 9 am with a prayer service at 9:30 am at the Van Horn-McDonough Funeral Home, 21 York St., Lambertville, NJ 08530.

Donations in Pam’s memory may be made to the Fund for Animals, 1255 23rd St NW, Suite 460, Washington, DC 20037.

Pam was one of the first, as well as one of the nicest people I met when I started working @ MCBSS. About 5 years later, Pam found out I was raising some Hens and gifted me with a quirky old one eyed Rooster named ‘Chauncey’ to keep the Hens happy...and he did just that.😊.
Rest In Peace, Pam. All Creatures Great And Small lost a good friend.

Pam is my oldest friend on earth. I say "is" because our love and friendship is forever. We've known each other since 2nd grade. Shared an hour long school bus ride together through elementary and high school. I was always at her house. Her mom, my 2nd mom. I would not be who I am today without Pam. what joy and adventures we shared over the years. Her faith and strength, sense of humor, friendship, love for family and husband, overwhelming love and care for animals ... all the wee folk as Pam would say, will never be forgotten. to Bob, and Tom and Jeannie I say thank you... thank you for sharing Pam with me. Thank you for caring. Let me know if there is anything I can do .. my prayers are with you. Call anytime. And Pammy, my friend... Be at Peace. Your journey is done. A life so very well lived. A friendship cherished. I will miss you dearly. love today and all days, Bonnie DeHart (Thank God I was able to visit in November... below taken November 2018... Friends forever)
