Obituary for Ellen E Balderston-Karp (Balderston)
Ellen E. Karp, 74, of New Hope, PA, passed away on January 26, 2019, at the University of Pennsylvania Medical Center in Philadelphia, PA. Her loving husband Dominick was by her side.
Born in Doylestown, PA, Ellen was a lifelong resident of New Hope, PA. She was a graduate of New Hope-Solebury High School, class of 1962. Ellen was an administrative assistant with several real estate firms in the area including the Pidcock Agency and Lou Fitting, both in New Hope. During the 1990’s she also worked as an administrative assistant for the Council of Southeast Pennsylvania in Doylestown. In the late 1990’s and early 2000’s Ellen was a manager at the Mansion Inn in New Hope. Ellen enjoyed fashion and shopping.
Ellen and Dominick loved the Jersey shore, day trips to Belmar and vacations in Cape May. She was an animal lover and over the years treasured her dog Bear and her cats Porky, Blake and Jack. Her current cat, Dominick, was a rescue from the Bucks County SPCA. When Ellen and her husband Dominick visited the Bucks SPCA to adopt a new cat, the cat’s name “Dominick” sealed the deal.
Ellen is survived by her devoted husband of 15 years Dominick P. Karp. She will be sadly missed by her husband, her friends and by her cat.
Funeral services will be private.
