Obituary for Elizabeth Murray (Stanford)
Elizabeth Murray, age 75, died Tuesday July 29, 2019 at St Luke's Hospital - Warren Campus, New Jersey. Elizabeth was born February 22, 1944 in Princeton, NJ to Leland Stanford and his wife, Margaret Allen.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings: Leroy, Teddy, Buddy, Michael, Dennis, Margaret and Johnny.
Elizabeth was a Certified Nursing Assistant for Hunterdon Care in Flemington and, most recently, for Valley View Health Care Center in Alexandria Twp. until her retirement.
Elizabeth was fascinated by horror films, enjoyed the Lifetime Channel and loved her family. She delighted in her nine grandchildren and looked forward to each visit. She is also survived by her lifelong friend and husband of 33 years, David John Murray Sr; her children: Billy in Tennessee, Bobby in Doylestown, PA, Barbara Croom in Alpha, David Jr and his fiance', Kimberly Reed of Lower Saucon, PA, and Jennifer (John) Berger of Penn Argle, PA. She also leaves her dog, Lily and her cat, Anna.
Visitation will be held Wednesday 5-7pm with a service following at 7pm at Van Horn - McDonough Funeral Home, 21 York Street, Lambertville, NJ. Cremation will follow.
Committal of Elizabeth to the earth will take place 11am Friday at Holcolmbe Riverview Cemetery, Lambertville, NJ.
