Obituary for MaryAnn P. Hornish (Flanagan)

MaryAnn Hornish, 91, of New Hope (Solebury Township), PA, died on Saturday, August 3, 2019.

A native of Bridgeport, CT, MaryAnn was a resident of West Caldwell from 1961 until retiring to Bucks County in 1989. She received her accreditation as a dental hygienist from the University of Pennsylvania and worked for Dr. Englander in Bridgeport. While living in West Caldwell she was an assistant at Caldwell Flowerland. MaryAnn enjoyed knitting and handcrafted hats and blankets for new born babies at the Hunterdon Medical Center. She was an avid reader and crossword puzzle solver. She was a member of St. Martin of Tours Church in New Hope. A dedicated wife, mother and grandmother, MaryAnn treasured time spent with her family.

MaryAnn is survived by her husband Donald T. Hornish; her children Susan M. Rinn and her husband Joseph of Hillsborough, NJ; Peter D. Hornish and his wife Kathy of Brooklyn, CT; Kevin J. Hornish and his wife Theresa of Glen Rock, NJ; her daughter-in-law Donna Hornish of Clark, NJ and her grandchildren Meghan Rinn of Milford, CT and Ryan Hornish of Glen Rock, NJ. MaryAnn was predeceased by her son Donald T. “Tommy” Hornish, Jr.; her sister Peggy DeLuca and her parents William P. and Anna M. Tickey Flanagan.

Funeral services will be private.
