Obituary for Patricia K. Lockwood (Karmen)

Patricia Karmen Lockwood. 79, of Lambertville, NJ, died on Sunday, January 26, 2020 at Robert Wood Johnson Medical Center in Somerville, NJ.

Born in Waterbury, CT, Patricia was a devoted wife and mother. She enjoyed her career as a registered nurse, starting at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston after receiving her RN degree from Waterbury Hospital School of Nursing. She worked at Bridge Way Care Center in Bridgewater prior to her retirement 15 years ago. Patricia and her husband Tony lived and raised their family in Bridgewater before coming to Lambertville 15 years ago. She was active with the Lambertville Historical Society and the Kalmia Club and especially enjoyed working on Kalmia’s annual garden tour. Travel and reading were among her favorite pastimes but doting on her grandchildren always came first.

Patricia was the daughter of late William and Helen Saroka Karmen, She is survived by her husband John Anthony “Tony” Lockwood; her sons and their wives Jay and Michelle Lockwood of Briarcliff Manor, NY; Brian and Jeanne Lockwood of Greenwich, CT and Keith and Katherine Lockwood on New York City; her grandchildren Anni, John Patrick “JP”, Olivia, Jake, Bridget and Charlie, her brother and his wife William and Elizabeth Karmen of Morristown, NJ.and her aunt Victoria Saroka of Waterbury, CT.

The funeral mass will be offered on Thursday, January 30, at 11 am at St. John the Evangelist, 44 Bridge Street, Lambertville, NJ 08530. Interment will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Lambertville, NJ 08530.

Calling hours on Thursday morning from 9 am until departure for church at the Van Horn-McDonough Funeral Home, 21 York Street, Lambertville, NJ 08530 (vhmfh.com).
