Obituary for Robert H. "Bob" Scheetz
Robert H. Scheetz, 72, of Lambertville, NJ, died on Monday, August 3, 2020, at the Hunterdon Medical Center in Flemington, NJ.
Born in Doylestown, PA, Bob was a lifelong Lambertville resident. He retired as the head custodian at South Hunterdon Regional High School in 2008 after 12 years of service. Earlier he was a maintenance mechanic for Johnson and Johnson in West Trenton from 1979 to 1991. Bob also worked for the Hunterdon County Road Department and had his very first job at the Roebling Estate. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a member of the Lambertville Rod and Gun Club. He and Pat were long time volunteers for the Lambertville Little League where Bob devoted many hours to maintaining the ball field. Bob enjoyed gardening and always rooted for the Phillies.
Bob was a devoted family man. He was the beloved husband of Patricia A. Canulli Scheetz since 1973. Together they raised their three daughters Meredith A. Scheetz of Lambertville, Karen M. Dey (husband Jeffrey) of Flemington and Patti A. Scheetz. Bob and Pat were delighted to be the grandparents of Charlotte and Emma Dey. Bob is also survived by his brother Lawrence Scheetz of New Hope, his sister-in-law Muriel Wermuth of Flemington and several nieces and nephews and their families. Bob was predeceased by his parents Norman and Eleanor Ashton Scheetz and his brother Donald Scheetz.
