Obituary for Edward Leon Kerr Jr.

Edward L. Kerr, Jr., of Ewing, New Jersey, died on Thursday, August 27, 2020, at Capital Health Hopewell Campus.

Born in Trenton and raised in Lambertville, Ed was a resident of Ewing for 34 years. A graduate of South Hunterdon Regional High School, Ed had a love of old cars since he was a kid and that interest led him to a 31 year long career as an auto mechanic with the State of New Jersey. After retirement from the state Ed rarely remained idle. He had several jobs including with Marrazzo’s Market in Ewing and continued to work on old cars at every opportunity. Ed enjoyed time with his family, especially days at the Jersey shore. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Lambertville.

He was the son of the late Edward L. Kerr, Sr. and Anna Madden Kerr. Ed is survived by his devoted and caring wife Barbara Jane Roy Kerr and his loving son, Michael. He is also survived by his sister-in-law and her husband Bobbi and Don Smith of Lambertville; his brother-in-law and his wife Rob and Debbie Roy of Morrisville, PA; his nephews and niece Greg Oldani of Seaside Park, NJ, Justin Roy of Titusville, NJ, Zach Roy of Lambertville, Nigel Smith and Tori Smith of Lambertville; his aunts Marie Madden of Chadds Ford, PA, Annelle Madden of Milford, NJ, Phyllis Kerr of New Hope and Julia Kerr of Mt. Airy; his many cousins and his extended family at the First Baptist Church of Lambertville.

Funeral services will be private.

Donations may be made to the Kerr Family to be applied to an education fund for Ed’s son Michael. Donations may be sent to the Kerr family c/o the funeral home.
