Obituary for Walter Stanley Melnick

Walter S. Melnick, of Stockton, New Jersey, died on Thursday, September 24, 2020.

Born in Philadelphia, Walt raised his family in Springfield, Pennsylvania. He later moved to Cape May and was the proud owner of the Sea Holly Inn. He attended Deptford Township High School and Rutgers University. Walt loved time with his family. He loved basketball and played on both his high school and college teams. Walt loved sports, especially the Eagles. He loved animals, especially his pets and horse. He always wanted to go to Disney World and the beach anytime that he could.

He was the son of the late Walter S. Melnick, Sr. and Wanda Sulik Melnick. Walt is survived by his devoted and caring wife, Marie Patricia Melnick, and his loving daughter, Tracie Melnick King, and her husband, Henry. He has three grandchildren that he adored, Samuel, Annarose, and Michael Walter. He is survived by his brother, Wayne, and his wife, Sheri. He is survived by nieces and nephews, Caitlin (Ryan), Samantha, Spencer, Stephen, Adam, Heather (Steve), Anthony, Billy, Rickey, and Kathryn. He is predeceased by his nephew, Brandon. Walt was blessed to have four godchildren.

A celebration of Walt's life will be held at a later date.
