Obituary for Kathryn Stout (Prutzman)

Kathryn Stout of Lambertville, NJ, died on Saturday, February 13, 2021 at Doylestown Hospital, Doylestown, PA.

Born in Lambertville, Kathryn was a lifelong resident of the Stockton and Lambertville area. She grew up in a large loving family, one of seven girls, Mae, Irene, Carrie, Ella, Elizabeth and Virginia and three brothers Edward, Bob and Bill. She worked as a waitress at the New Hope Diner and in the butcher shop at the Pennington Market. She was dedicated to her family and enjoyed crossword puzzles and playing Bingo. Kathryn was a regular at the Community Kitchen lunch each Wednesday at the Centenary United Methodist Church and met family and friends at McDonald’s in New Hope.

Kathryn was the wife of the late William Stout, Jr., the mother of the late Dennis Stout and William Stout III , the daughter of the late Wilson and Marguerite Prutzman and the sister of the late Mae Toth, Irene Lindblad, Carrie Thornton, Virginia Werner, Ella Hindermyer, Elizabeth Knox, Edward Prutzman, Robert Prutzman and William Prutzman.

Kathryn is survived by her grandchildren Taryn Cheer and her husband Travis, Tabitha Kosmas and her husband Joseph, Jenny Stout Matheny, William Stout IV, Dennis Stout and Danielle Stout and a plethora of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews and their families.

Memorial services will be held on Friday, February 19, at 11 am at the Van Horn-McDonough Funeral Home, 21 York Street, Lambertville, NJ 08530 (vhmfh.com).

There will be visitation at the funeral home on Friday morning starting at 10 am prior to services.

Interment will be private.
