Obituary for Bertha A Williamson (Rose)

Bertha A. Williamson, a lifelong Lambertville resident, passed away on Sunday, June 20, 2021, in the home she loved surrounded by her treasured family. She was 82.

Born in Lambertville, Bertha’s life and activities centered around her family, friends and neighbors. Bertha was an active volunteer, serving with the PTA at St. John the Evangelist School and South Hunterdon Regional High School. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Lambertville-New Hope Rescue Squad. While her husband Fran served as a Lambertville Little League coach, Bertha helped organize the annual team awards banquets.

She was the beloved wife of the late Francis K. Williamson, Sr., the grandmother of the late Gregory Williamson, the daughter of the late Stacy O. Rose, Sr. and Carmella Welsh Rose and the sister of the late Charles Rose and John Rose. Bertha is survived by her loving children and their spouses Francis K. “Skip” Williamson, Jr. of Lambertville; Steven D. Williamson and his wife Carol of Lambertville and Kim Fletcher and her husband Terry of Kingwood Township; her grandchildren TJ Fletcher of Holland Township, Amy Fletcher of Kingwood, Steven Williamson of Surf City; Bryan T. Williamson and his wife Samantha of Gainesville, VA and Rebecca Williamson of Lambertville; her 6 great-grandchildren; her sister Ginger McCaffrey (husband Edward) of West Amwell; her brothers Fred Rose (wife Joan) of Estherville, Iowa, Stacy Rose, Jr. (wife Olga) of Lambertville, and Joseph Rose (wife Donna) of Stockton; her sister-in-law Barbara Rose of Lambertville and an extended family of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Thursday, June 24,2021 at 10:30 am at St. John the Evangelist Church, 44 Bridge Street, Lambertville, NJ 08530. Interment will follow at the parish cemetery.
