Obituary for Barbara Eloise Lovrinic (Mencheck)

Barbara Eloise Lovrinic of Lambertville, NJ, died on Tuesday, June 7, 2022 at the Salona Center in Doylestown, PA.

Born in Flemington, NJ, Barbara grew up in East Amwell and attended Flemington High School. She later lived in Yardley, PA before making her home in Lambertville 40 years ago. She was a registered nurse serving as director of nursing for over 15 years at the Odd Fellows Care Center in Trenton. She had earned her nurse’s cap at the Helene Fuld School of Nursing in Trenton. She later earned a degree in psychology from St. Joseph’s College in Maine. With her husband John, she owned and operated Lovrinic Antiques in Lambertville where her love of fine antique furniture, her interest in fine arts and interior design contributed to the store’s success.

Barbara loved travel and summer vacations at the Jersey shore. She was a member of the Kalmia Club in Lambertville. She and John were dedicated supporters of the community lunch program at the Centenary United Methodist Church in Lambertville.

Barbara was devoted to her family. She was the wife of the late John E. Lovrinic, the daughter of the late Vincent Menchek, Sr. and Claudina Schwartz Menchek and the sister of the late Floyd, Vincent Jr., Geraldine, Dorothy and Nancy.

She is survived by her daughter Suzanne Frost and her husband Harry of Hilltown, PA; her sons and daughter-in-law Christopher Lovrinic of Warrington, PA and Timothy J. Lovrinic and his wife Ingrid of New Hope, PA; her granddaughters Elizabeth Frost of Hilltown, Abigail Frost of Orlando, Alexandra Lovrinic of Tampa Bay, FL; and Madeleine and Grace Lovrinic of New Hope and her sisters Jean Sprince of Brookfield, CT and Elizabeth Bernhard of Raritan Township, NJ.

Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, June 14,2022 at 11am at Harbourton Cemetery, 1516 Harbourton-Rocktown Road, Lambertville, NJ 08530.

Attendees will be encouraged to share their memories of Barbara at the service.

Donations in Barbara’s memory may be made to the Centenary United Methodist Church Lunch Program, 108 N. Union Street, Lambertville, NJ 08530.
