Obituary for Marie Rossiter (Durborow)

Marie  Rossiter (Durborow)
Marie Rossiter, 84, a lifelong resident of Lambertville, NJ, died on Tuesday, December 29, 2015, at her home. Marie had recently moved to Buckingham Township, PA.

Marie was retired from the position of secretary and deputy registrar for the City of Lambertville where she had worked for 25 years before retiring. She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Church in Lambertville, the Lambertville Senior Citizens and enjoyed going to bingo and playing pinochle. Above all else Marie treasured her time with family and friends.

Marie was the mother of the late Bruce J. Rossiter, the sister of the late James H. Durborow and the daughter of the late Joseph and Rhelda Durborow. She is survived by her children and their spouses Deborah A. and Mark Oristaglio of Bedminster, PA and William and Eileen Rossiiter of Spring Hill, TN; her grandchildren Matthew, Jason (Kristy) and Joseph (Stacie) Payton; Kristin (Dave) Hollenbach, Nicole (Eric) Baker, Jennifer Oristaglio, Meghan (Alan) Clark and Brian Rossiter; her great-grandchildren Alexia Kirk, Hunter and Cheyenne Robinson and Cailin and Zachary Payton; her niece Lisa, her husband Marcel and their son Henry Chouteau; her nephew Jimmy, his wife Lynne and their daughter Ciera Durborow; her close friends Joan and Robert Pierman and an extended family of Perry Street neighbors.

The mass of Christian burial will be offered on Saturday, January 2, 2016, at 10:30 am at St. John the Evangelist Church, 44 Bridge Street, Lambertville, NJ 08530. Interment will follow at Holcombe-Riverview Cemetery, Delaware Township, NJ.

Calling hours at the Van Horn-McDonough Funeral Home, 21 York Street, Lambertville, NJ on Saturday morning from 9am until departure for church.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Marie’s memory may be made to the Lambertville-New Hope Rescue Squad, Box 237, Lambertville, NJ 08530.
