Joyce Dey, 85, of Lambertville, NJ, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones in her home on Sunday, July 3, 2016.

Born in Lambertville, Joyce was a lifelong city resident. She had worked at Belmont Forwarders and York Luggage, both in Lambertville, before retiring in 1979. She enjoyed playing bingo and solving crossword puzzles. Joyce was devoted to her family and loved tending to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was the wife of the late Kenneth J. “Smokey” Dey, the mother of the late Linda Tasnady and Joyce Ennis, the daughter of the late Charles and Helen McElroy Van Fleet and the sister of the late Gus McElroy, Charles “Abe” Van Fleet, Elizabeth Hartpence, Virginia Nanni and Helen Linico. She is survived by her children Virginia Pickering and her husband Terry of Bastrop, TX, Keith Dey and Kim Williamson, both of Lambertville; her grandchildren Terry Pickering and his wife Melissa of Boulder, CO, Jesse Pickering and his wife Christi of Bastrop, TX, Tanya Catanzareti and her husband Tim of Lambertville, Brandon Ennis of Lambertville and Austin Ennis of Doylestown, PA; her great-grandchildren DJ, Jacob and Tanner Pickering of Bastrop, Austin and Alana Catanzareti of Lambertville; and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will take place on Thursday evening, July 7, at 7 pm at the Van Horn-McDonough Funeral Home, 21 York Street, Lambertville, NJ 08530 (vhmfh.com).
