Kenneth S. Weber, Sr., 91, of Lambertville, NJ, died on Thursday, January 5, 2017, at Doylestown Hospital, Doylestown, PA.
Born in Lambertville, Ken was raised in Perth Amboy and Woodbridge, returning to Lambertville as a young adult. He was an electrician with Conrail (earlier the Pennsylvania Railroad) for 42 years before retiring in 1984. A veteran of World War II, Ken served with the US Army in central Europe. He was a member of the Fleetwing Volunteer Fire Company in Lambertville. Ken was a true train buff, like his father before him. He had a vast knowledge of railroad history and collected Lionel trains. He was an avid reader and bowled regularly. Ken enjoyed a daily walk around Lambertville and was a familiar site to one and all.
He was the devoted husband to the late Betty Jane Tigar Weber and the son of the late William R. and Ethel Fisher Weber. He is survived by his sons Kenneth S. Weber, Jr. and Ronald S. Weber of Lambertville; his granddaughters Christina A. Weber of Levittown, PA, Pamela A. Weber of Lambertville and Crystal A. Weber of Levittown; his great –grandchildren Kylee Weber of Levittown, Jesse J. Barton of West Virginia, Brian Charsha of Levittown and Destiny Charsha of Levittown.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 10, at 12 noon at the Van Horn-McDonough Funeral Home, 21 York Street, Lambertville, NJ 08530. Interment will follow at the Holcombe-Riverview Cemetery, Delaware Township, NJ.
